Joanne Knauf (licensed as Joanne L. Smith-Knauf) is the principal broker and owner of Valley Realty Associates.
Joanne brings over three decades of professional negotiation and real estate expertise to the Shenandoah Valley. As the Principal Broker, she holds herself to the highest professional standards, ensuring that every client, regardless of their background, receives an outstanding level of service defined by clarity, integrity, and expert communication.
Having mastered the complexities of the industry by working alongside a highly successful real estate family in the Outer Banks and Tidewater Virginia, Joanne understands the deep commitment required to succeed as a Realtor®. Before focusing her full attention on the Valley’s real estate market, she established herself as a powerhouse sales executive, successfully negotiating contracts for prestigious national organizations including the Smithsonian Institution, Georgetown University, and the National Institutes of Health.
